13: Nail Your Character Arcs in 4 Easy Steps
The key to an amazing story is the character journey.
As a book coach, I've worked with authors to develop their character arcs over and over. I believe the GMFS Framework is the key to writing the most rewarding character arcs possible.
Goal + Motive + Flaw + Stakes = Epic Characters
In this episode, I break down these steps briefly, then dive deep into my favorite of the four elements (which happens to be the one most often missed by writers): the flaw. AKA the character's flawed view of the world and themself.
Here's a hint about your story: what your character wants is less important than why they think they need it.
I break this concept down for you in this episode today.

PSSST. Enjoying the podcast?!
I would truly appreciate it if you could take a moment to leave a rating and review. Your feedback helps the podcast reach more writers who are eager to grow into their full potential, and I have this wild goal of reaching 10,000 writers by this time next year. You've got stories to share with the world, and I don't want you holding yourself back from being the author YOU want to be.
+ a Bonus: Tag me on social media with your review or email me a screenshot, and I'll send you a little something fun in return. Thank you for your support!
